这个月, 校本 faculty and students from the Ila Faye Miller School of Nursing and Health Professions (SNHP) and 人文学院, 艺术与社会科学(CHASS) attended the International Alliance for Health, 体育课, Dance and Sport (IAHPEDS) World Congress in Tokyo, 日本. This year marks 校本’s first ever participation in the IAHPEDS World Congress, held July 5 - 8.
周四, 四月十一日及星期五, 4月12日, 校本’s Singers Workshop ensemble performed a production of “The Magic Flute,” an opera composed by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. The libretto, or the text intended for an opera or musical, was written by Emanuel Schikaneder. 用德语演唱的音乐, the performance follows the adventures of Prince Tamino and his comical companion, Papageno, on their search to rescue the Queen of the Night's daughter, Pamina. The Magic Flute is one of the most famous operas of all time with music that is recognizable even to those who are not otherwise familiar with the work.
Dr. 哈维尔Clavere, 威斯康星大学人文学院院长, 艺术与社会科学(CHASS), recently had the privilege of lecturing at St. Anne’s College at the University of Oxford’s Education Research Symposium. He was among the 54 esteemed researchers and academics who presented ongoing research related to educational frameworks for the 21st century and the future. All research was presented with an underlying desire to promote educational systems that are healthy and supportive of students and their ongoing needs in an ever-evolving world.
